Paul VanOsten Biography

Born October 3rd 1964, Paul was raised in a Christian home in Philadelphia, PA. Growing up, his parents were actively involved in their local church. They taught Sunday school and participated in the youth ministries. In addition, Paul’s parents were heavily involved in several youth camping ministries. They spent many years as board members, ending their camping careers as resident caretakers. These experiences helped to foster a spirit of service and an understanding that we are to use the talents God has given us to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Through the example of his parents, Paul came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at a very early age. Thanks to his parents’ sacrifices and commitment to Christian Education, Paul had the opportunity to attend and graduate from Christian School. Throughout his school years, Paul took every opportunity to participate in choir. Before graduating, Paul began singing solos in choir and in talent shows. After graduation, he continued to look for opportunities to sing at every church he was associated with and continued to work on his solo music. While life has not always been easy, it has always been his music that helps to see him through the rough times and keep him grounded in his faith.

By the year 2000, Paul found himself living in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. He had the opportunity to start traveling and singing with X-alt Ministries. For approximately 8 years, X-alt travelled around the northeastern counties of Pennsylvania ministering through music. Since that time, Paul has continued to look for opportunities to proclaim the Gospel through music. Paul now attends People’s EC Church in Lehighton PA. He has been an integral part of the special music programs and has recently taken over as Chair of the Music and Worship Committee.

Over the last year, and with the encouragement of many people, Paul has felt the call to step out with his own Solo Ministry. With the Lord’s help, Paul has spent 30 years preparing for this opportunity and he is looking forward to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through his music.

If you have an opportunity to see Paul in concert, your ears will be pleased and your heart will be blessed!
